doing life together...

hello there friends... welcome to a glimpse into our perfectly imperfect life, home, and family... my hope is to write openly and honestly about our life, document our family memories, and have a little fun along the way...

WHY?

Why does December always have to feel like this... so much to do, so little time... I thought I was doing so well considering I had bought my first Christmas present way back in September, but just making a list of all the stuff I have to finish is overwhelming... and all for what? So we can "sit back and relax" and enjoy the Christmas festivities over three days??! Unfortunately those days never seem so relaxing for us. I just don't know what to cut from the list and I'm not sure if there's much I want to cut from the list... it's all fun or for fun things.

I find it especially difficult because the people that seem to suffer the most with my busyness, even though most of it is for them, is my family, Brad and our kids... they go to bed later than normal, eat a little more "convenience" food, and watch more TV... just a second, that doesn't sound much like "suffering" does it? Well, my mommy guilt tells me differently.

As funny as it sounds, I'm actually looking forward to my surgery and having NOTHING to do afterwards but rest and recover... it'll be a nice break, and once I'm off of painkillers I should be able to spend some quality time with my kiddies and Brad... so looking forward to that.f

Anyway, enough procrastinating, off to tackle the dreaded list.

i'm sure a big part of it is the fact that you are such a generous person in all regards...you love to help people, get involved, and make special memories with your family! (all of which are wonderful things, by the way) and it all adds up!
i'm glad you're going to have to 'sit around' after your surgery. you deserve it and i think you need the rest :)

hey, let go of the "Mommy Guilt!!!:):)" You are so invested in the life of your family that I am sure you will always do what's best for them:)...and sometimes we have to temporarily drop a few of the balls we are juggling in order to keep more pressing ones in the air! Your kids will have a memorable and wonderful Christmas because of all your work and then in January you can all sit around, take a deep breath and just HANG OUT!!:)
